Mound Sound Mound (2021) is a continuing series of paintings which hark back to Hancock’s earliest Mound works, which began over twenty years ago. The Mounds are creatures the artist has been developing ever since, in intensely black, white and pink designs. In this body of work Hancock is playful in his artistic freedom. The works allow for experimental mark making within a sub series, and what Hancock refers to as a ‘microbial bubbling.’ (2022)
