Virginia Jaramillo | Current museum exhibitions in Texas, Florida and New Jersey

Virginia Jaramillo, Untitled, 1971 is on view in the Modern and Contemporary collection galleries at The Menil Collection, TX, USA, on continuous view. Part of her celebrated curvilinear series, the work exemplifies Jaramillo’s long-standing exploration of perception, space and abstraction through vivid colour and precise, intersecting lines.
 
Jaramillo’s 1969 work from the same series, It Goes On, is on display in Seeing America: 20th & 21st Century in the collection galleries of The Newark Museum of Art, NJ, USA.
 
Currently on view in Abstraction as Legacy at the Museum of Art and Design (MOAD), Miami Dade College, Freedom Tower, Florida, through 18 October 2026, Sidereal Inscriptions #1–213, 1988 reflects Jaramillo’s distinctive process of layering handmade linen fibres and earth pigments to create subtle, textured compositions inspired by ancient architecture and belief systems.
