At ARTSHED, Andrew Bick curates an exhibition that places his own work in dialogue with that of Anwar Jalal Shemza, exploring a shared engagement with the ideas and legacy of Paul Klee. Through painting, drawing and a monumental wall work, Bick investigates how Klee's systematic diagrams of trees resonate through Shemza's diasporic modernism and his own contemporary Constructivist practice.
 
Expanding geometric abstraction through lyrical and poetic frames of reference, the exhibition considers the tree as both image and symbol, bringing the affinities between the artists into a contemporary context.
