Hales is excited to announce that Haroun Hayward will be speaking at Shifting Ground: A Journey Through the Work of Anwar Jalal Shemza at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, UK.
Hosted by Rachel Garfield, Professor of Fine Art at RCA, the event will explore the potential for reimagining collections in the postwar context and hear from Hammad Nasar about his curatorial interventions in the field.
Haroun Hayward received a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting from University of Brighton and an MA in Fine Art Practice from Goldsmiths University, London. He lives and works in London. Hayward's paintings are a celebration of hybridity, harmoniously converging art historical and musical references with distinct modes of making. The paintings honor what informs Hayward's personal and artistic narrative - rave culture, abstract expressionism, post war British landscape painting and his mother's textile collection.
The event will take place on 25 March from 1.30 - 4pm GMT at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, UK.
