Hales is thrilled to announce that Lucy Stein will be performing at Museo Casa Rusca alongside her solo exhibition Damsel in Desire on 21 September at 6pm. A guided tour of Damsel in Desire will take place at 4pm with the artist and curator Raphael Gygax.
In her first solo exhibition in a Swiss museum, Lucy Stein (b. 1979, Oxford, UK) presents works created over the past twenty years and a new body of work in dialogue with the work of Olga Fröbe-Kapteyn. Stein's art explores the roots and history of painting, relating them to important contemporary issues such as psychoanalysis and feminist theory, integrating elements of her own biography.
