Tuli Mekondjo | Performance | Biennale de Dakar

Hales is excited to announce that Tuli Mekondjo will be performing at the Biennale de Dakar on Friday 8 November. The 15th edition of the Biennale de Dakar is entitled The Wake, which explores the relationship between art, society, climate, and history in the context of Dakar. 
 
Tuli Mekondjo (b.1982 Angola) is a Namibian artist, whose richly multifaceted practice considers the sociohistorical context of Namibia as a site to re-evaluate and consider ideas around ancestry and identity. 
 
Known for her mixed media and embroidered paintings, Mekondjo’s rigorous practice is a pursuit to connect with and honor her Namibian heritage.
